Adekoya Iromin Modinat Ajoke

Dr. Modinat Ajoke Adekoya-Iromini is an Ahmadiyyah Muslim from Ijebu Ishiwo in Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State. She holds a Ph.D. in Crop Genetics and Breeding from Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, Hubei Province, PR China, Masters in Plant Breeding and B.Sc. in Botany from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and the Ogun State Ubiversity, respectively. Dr Modinat is currently the National Protocol Officer II of the Ahmadiyyah Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Lecturer with the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta and a member of the Genetics Society of Nigeria. She has been involved in conflict settlement between religious groups as her faith preaches peace between humanity. Dr Modinat has conducted a lot of research and publications and attended many trainings. She has also won many prizes, Honor’s and International recognitions such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholarship for the Green super rice Project and others.

Modinat believes that interreligious dialogue and mediation is necessary for her to strengthen, demonstrate, encourage, maintain and promote peace among humanity. For her, having the core knowledge of interreligious dialogue and mediation through this Fellowship program will make peace to radiate within the community one finds oneself. Thus, since dialoguing and mediation are tools for promoting peace between organizations, communities and even individuals, Modinat is willing to take it as a responsibility to always be a frontier in the promotion of peace by education others through the skills acquired from the Fellowship Program.
