Jechonia Gilbert is a Christian leader from Yola LGA, Adamawa State. He is a construction engineer with major interests in religion, peace and community transformation. Jechonia has worked in different capacities such as director of inter-faith and ecumenism for Christian Association of Nigeria Adamawa State Chapter and Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Northeast Zonal chapter. He presently holds the seat of Zonal and State Secretary of the Christian Council of Nigeria, Northeast Zone and Adamawa State Chapter, respectively.
His assignments in ecumenical direction saddles Jechonia with the responsibilities of ensuring peaceful coexistence among members of his fold as well as harmony among other Christians and religious groups. He believes that interreligious dialogue and mediation skills are very important tools for his work. He hopes to use the skills learnt during the Fellowship Program to further reach out to more communities within his area of work for peaceful coexistence.
