Sr. MaryRita Adebambo Adedayo

Sr. MaryRita Adebambo Adedayo is a Catholic Nun of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus (EHJ) and hails from Ogun State. She is qualified legal personnel with a Bachelor of Law degree from the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria and a graduate of Nigerian Law School.As a Barrister, and dispute resolution specialist, she has done much in the realm of alternate dispute resolution and has been an alternate dispute resolution provider in many community based conflicts and disputes and an activist of the woman and girl child rights. She is currently the Project Coordinator of the Eucharistic heart of Jesus Development and Peace Centre in Delta State, where she is mainly concerned with intervening in issues of social justice and conflict resolution.

Informed by the critical and educative experiences of her work, MaryRita acknowledges that ethnic and religious differences are facts of life and normal to human communities, but these should by no means constitute apples of discord and reasons for destruction, as such, she opines that interreligious dialogue and mediation is very necessary to dispel stereotypes, build trust, harmony, peaceful coexistence, development and political stability. She hopes to utilize skilled acquired from the fellowship program to add flavor to her conflict resolution works, develop and implement peace building projects that will enhance social and religious cohesion, integration, peace, and foster community resilience against radicalization.Her hobbies are reading motivational books, watching movies and meeting people.
