2025 Began with Grace, Purpose and Passion – COFP Annual Retreat

As the sun rises on a new year, the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace (COFP) took a sacred pause to reflect, realign, and renew. In the usual tradition of COFP, the entire staff team gathered for a deeply enriching Annual Spiritual Retreat to mark the beginning of 2025 not just with plans, but with purpose. Held in an atmosphere of calm reflection and shared COFP vision, the one-day staff retreat on January 8, 2025 was prayerfully anchored by the Deputy Director, Rev. Fr. Boniface Neibo, who led the team through series of spiritual and reflective moments including, a thought-provoking Talk, Confessions, Individual consultation for Spiritual Direction and a Holy Mass.

This year’s retreat theme, “Strengthening and Consolidating COFP’s Future with Purpose and Passion through Collective Action”, was a clarion call to sincere reflection for every team member. Fr. Boniface challenged the COFP family to take an honest look inward and evaluate how passion, punctuality, creativity, and discipline shaped 2024 and how much it will define our 2025. He emphasized the need to not only meet deadlines and deliver quality work but to become intentional collaborators in advancing COFP’s mission. The challenge was clear: “Let us not just work for COFP, let us grow with COFP.” Fr. Boniface also encouraged all staff to harness the power of digital tools, embrace innovation, and take personal responsibility for the Foundation’s growth reminding all that real transformation happens when we move in unity with purpose.
