Amina Bosede Omoti

Hajia Amina Bosede Omoti is a native of Okpella, in Edo State. She has a PGD in Technical Education from University of Benin and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling Education from Imo State University and has worked with the Edo state Government since 1979 till she retired as a Director Administration and Supplies, Edo State Board for Technical Education in 2013. Amina is a member of the Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) and has held several key positions in the organization before stepping down as the Immediate Past National President of FOMWAN in 2017, She is a member, Board of Trustee of Inter-faith Dialogue Forum for Peace (IDFP – KAIICID), an advocate of issues affecting women and child health and a board member of the National Orientation Agency. Hajia Omoti was a delegate to the 2014 National Conference (CONFAB) in Abuja.

Amina is convinced that interreligious dialogue and mediation is a veritable tool for curbing religious extremism and violence that wrestles our nation, Nigerian and the world at large. She hopes to put in great participation in the Fellowship Program which she believes will further strengthen her horizon in the area of interfaith work of dialogue and mediation amongst others.
