COFP Signs MoU with the United Religions Initiative (URI)
In order to sustain and scale its impact, the COFP Foundation continues to seek for meaningful partnerships and collaborations with likeminded organizations, spirited individuals and even government agencies to be able to fully pursue the course its mission. In the month of May 13th, 2025, the Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Religions Initiative (URI), in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia during the interfaith harmony week, a forum that brought together different religions with the intention of seeking common ground for peace and development in Africa. The United Religions Initiative (URI) is a global grassroots interfaith network with over 1,100 member groups and organizations, known as Cooperation Circles, spread across the world. The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United Religions Initiative (URI) and the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace (COFP) marked the beginning of a collaborative journey for justice, peace and development in Africa and beyond during this crucial event.
