Ending Violence and Abuse Against Children (EVAC)
Children are the leaders of tomorrow as often said! But can they lead tomorrow if all we do today is abuse and batter them? The absolute reality is that within the confines of homes, schools, and communities, children face threats that cast long shadows on their well-being. It's a narrative we often choose to overlook, yet the urgency to address and eradicate violence against children cannot be overstated. We must recognize that no form of violence against children is justifiable, and that every child has the right to survive, grow and be protected from abuse. To this end, the Cardinal Onaiyekan Foundation for Peace, organized a one-day Seminar for 25 teachers and caregivers in Abuja and neighboring Nasarawa state on November 2nd, 2023 at Ajuji Greenwich Hotel Abuja. The seminar was hosted to equip participants with needed skills to protect children from violence and abuse. The event featured presentations by Mr. Gabriel Onyali, NAPTIP’s Chief Intelligence Officer and COFP team.
