Fellows reconvened for the second module of the COFP Fellowship Program with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal. The program commenced from October 28 – November 4th, 2018at Top Rank Hotels Galaxy, Utako Abuja. The module two gave the 35 Fellows the opportunity to share their experiences of participating and engagement in peacebuilding activities at different levels both within and outside their communities after the module one.
With the understanding of the basic tenants of Christian and Muslim religions in Module one, the Module two dwelt heavily on the nature and dynamics of conflicts especially in the Nigerian contexts, understanding our common grounds, skills in mediation and organization/project management. This Module helped Fellows to take a deeper look into conflicts in practical Nigerian situations, and this revealed the real drivers of conflicts in their senseless and selfish nature. The Module two also introduced Fellows to project needs analysis and management with the aim of preparing them for the implementation of their own small peace projects in their local communities as well as other projects that they may undertake in future.
