Personal Reflection
At the End of the One-Year COFP Fellowship Program:
An Unforgettable Experience

“The one year of my Fellowship program was indeed worthwhile. I have been enlightened, empowered and my horizons have been widened. I have better information and understanding of both Christianity and Islam now. My notion about peace and peaceful co-existence have been modified. Previously I see peace as talking things over but peace can also be achieved when I decide to let some things go. I have a part to play in maintaining peaceful coexistence by doing the best I can from the story of the humming bird and to avoid single stories. Retaliation does not bring peace but dialogue goes a long way to resolve issues especially dialogue with the right persons and also the reality of conflict that I have learned to live with daily, in addition to the conflict management styles of accommodating people, avoiding issues, collaborating with people who have interest in peaceful coexistence. All thanks to the COFP Fellowship program & the Hilton Foundation.” ~~ Mercy
