Abubakar Sumayya Muhammad is a Muslim and a native of Plateau State. She is the Team Lead Mediation/Dialogue officer at Plateau Peacebuilding Agency and the CEO of Muryar Fulani Peace Initiative Network, Jos, Plateau State. She holds a Masters in Religion & Philosophy from the University of Jos.
Summaya is from a community in Plateau State that has witnessed religious crises for nearly two decades. The need to learn how to explore pathways to lasting peace in her State and the Country at large, motivated her to apply for the Fellowship program.
