Ahmad Haleemah Oladamade is a native of Ilorin, Kwara State. She has Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin, kwara State. Haleemah is a candidate of Postgraduate Studies at the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja. She is the Chief Editor and Researcher at Da’wah Institute of Nigeria, Minna. She is a writer of many articles on Sister’s Magazine selling in the U.K. and has a strong appetite for knowledge. Haleemah is a leader, a teacher and a human resource manager with experiences in mediation. Presently, the Da’wah Institute and the Islamic Education Trust (IET) employs her to conduct research, develop resource materials, and organize training programmes in interfaith engagement and bridge building for peaceful co-existence.
As a Muslim, Haleemah believes interreligious dialogue and mediation is necessary, not only to mitigate negative conditioning and misconceptions about “the other”, but also to open the door for listening, communication, mutual respect and understanding. She hopes to have a better understanding of other faiths from the Fellowship Program and offer her experience to further enhance peaceful coexistence among adherents of different faiths through her various works.
