Rev. Fr. Akorah Callistus Chukwunweike is an indigene of Anambra State and a Roman Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Onitsha. He holds Masters Degree in Canon Law from the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA) Port Harcourt, Bachelor Degree in Theology and Philosophy from Seat of Wisdom Seminary Owerri. Callistus is the Onitsha Archdiocesan Director of Interreligious Dialogue.
Rising from the experiences of his work as Director of Interreligious dialogue in his diocese, Fr. Akora is convinced that interreligious dialogue is very important since it enhances better understanding of one’s religion and leads to greater appreciation of another’s religious belief, which is very relevant in Nigeria, especially in the face of religious extremism and conflicts. He hope to be equipped with more practical knowledge & experience in peacebuilding through the Fellowship Program to enable him scale up his contribution to national peace.
