Personal Reflection
At the End of the One-Year COFP Fellowship Program:
An Unforgettable Experience
“Peace is a daily, weekly, monthly process, of gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.” John F. Kennedy. “My COFP Fellowship personal experience has been an amazing one. This Fellowship Program has caused a change in my opinion on some issues, eroded old barriers and provided me with tools to work for the construction of new structures for a better and peaceful co-existence among persons and communities. Besides the beautiful lectures and experiences of the facilitators, I have greatly benefited and have been enriched by the life experiences of Fellows from different parts of the Continent. Again, I have become more conscious of some realities and facts I previously ignored or undermined. My perception and analysis of situations are more acute and balanced now. Like Eleanor Roosevelt, I have become convinced that: “It isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in it. One must work at it.” ~~ Roland
