Barr. Mrs. Cecilia Nwanneka Okolo is a devout Catholic from Enugu State, Nigeria and the current National President of the Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria (CWO). She has attended many international courses/workshops organized by high ranking institutions in Nigeria and abroad. Barr. Mrs. Okolo has a bachelor’s degree in Law from the then University of Ife and now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and a Master’s Degree in Business Policy and International Finance from Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK. She has enjoyed successful careers in both banking and lecturing professions, amidst other development works with a wide variety of local and foreign organisations and institutions. Barr. Mrs. Okolo is the Founder of Lift Saxum Ltd/Gte, whose mission is to transform the lives of women and youths in Nigeria.
The COFP Fellowship Program will enable Brr. Mrs. Okolo to sharpen her skills and broaden her horizon in interreligious dialogue & mediation particularly through the exposure gained from the course and the alumni network. This program will further enhance her work as a member of the Institute of Chattered mediators and Conciliators of Nigeria (ICMC). She hopes to use the skills acquired during the Fellowship Program to promote peace beyond her community especially, as the National President of CWON and as member of the Advisory Board of Nigeria Women of Faith Peace Network.
