Dr. Usamatu Magaji Imam is an indigene of soba LGA in Kaduna State. He is a Doctor of Islamic Studies and has a Bachelor in Islamic Shari’a Law from International University of Africa, Khartoum, Sudan. He was once the Auditor General of the West African Student Union in Sudan and Chief Imam of the African Mosque in, Khartoum Sudan Republic. Dr Usman is currently the chief Imam at Wuse Zone 5 Jumaat Mosque, FCT ABUJA and holds the office of the Secretary General at the Jama’atulAannahdha Al-Islamiyyah Al-Alamiyya Kaduna State Chapter. He is also the Executive Director at the Annadah Islamic Foundation in Bauchi.
Dr Magaji is very passionate about dialogue and coexistence and this is why he is very interested in the Fellowship Program. He strongly recommends skills and knowledge in interreligious dialogue and mediation for all religious and faith leaders and teachers in Nigeria. He hopes to use skills learnt from the Fellowship to setup frameworks from the grassroots to promote peace in their communities.
