Mamza Yohanna Shaibu

A graduate of Theological College of Northern Nigeria Jos, Mamza Yohanna Shaibu is an indigene of Biu, Borno State of Nigeria. He bagged a Ph.D. in CRS Church History from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and an M.A. in Church History. Mamza is an experienced teacher and a member of the Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). He has published his works on Christian Religious Studies in various journals and has written textbooks in the same field.

As a religious teacher and pastor, he was inspired by one of the COFP pioneer Fellow and mentor, Dr. Dachomo whose life and works motivated him to apply for the Fellowship. Mamza considers interreligious dialogue a necessity as his community is ravaged by insurgency; he intends to increase his knowledge in peacebuilding as he organizes seminars, workshops and public lectures in collaboration with the Islamic Studies Department of College of Education Waka-Biu Borno State, to train young teachers, students and others.
