Hajia Obazee Sidikat is a native of Oredo LGA in Edo State Nigeria. She has a B. Sc. in Public Administration from University of Benin. She is a Muslim. A registered nurse and Head of Department of the School of Post Basic Nursing Studies of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin city, Edo State. Obazee is a member of the Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) and was the State Amirah of the Association from 1994 to 1998. She is currently the Edo State Chairperson of FOMWAN on three committees, namely, health, disciplinary and school inspectorate communities. She is the Leader Muslim Women Group of Benin Central Mosque and the Patron of Nigerian Red Cross Society, Egor Division, Edo State.
Obazee is convinced that interreligious dialogue and mediation is a veritable tool for curbing religious extremism and violence that wrestles our nation, Nigeria and the world at large. She hopes to put in great participation in the Fellowship Program which she believes will further broaden her horizon in the area of interfaith work of dialogue and mediation amongst others. Her hobbies are Cooking, mothering, conflict resolution and peace-building.
