COFP Foundation is working to provide access to basic education for children displaced in Yimitu IDP camp in Abuja Nigeria. The IDP children in this host community are living with their families and extended families. Over 300 of them were enrolled in the camp school/learning center that was put up by the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja Nigeria. The school building is deteriorated & in a deplorable state. It is over-populated as well (about 200 children share two classes that was meant for 50 children at most). COFP have taken the responsibility and initiative of renovating the school structure as well as providing more teaching staff, & teaching aids to ensure decent learning.
