Rafatu AbdulHamid is a Muslim from Plateau State. She lives & works in Abuja as the CEO of Arise Muslim Women & Youth Educational Initiative. Rafatu holds a Ph.D. in Islam and Gender Studies, and is an Associate Professor of Islamic Thought and Gender Studies, Department of Islamic Studies Faculty of Arts. She is also, the Program Coordinator, Center for Gender Security Studies and Youth Advancement, University of Abuja.
Rafatu realized that the COFP Fellowship program is an avenue through which she can acquire new knowledge in interfaith dialogue and disseminate same to her students and the entire members of her community on the need for peaceful coexistence.
