Taparki Moses is a Catholic Priest of the Diocese of Yola and hails from Adamawa State. He holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL) and a Bachelor Degree in Theology from the Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA) Rivers State, Nigeria. He also holds a Bachelor of Philosophy form St. Thomas Aquinas Major Seminary, Makurdi. Fr Moses was a Lecturer and Formator at the St. Augustine Major Seminary Jos, and a one-time Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, Adamawa State Chapter. He is currently the Director for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism Yola Diocese.
In the past eight years, Fr Moses has made a lot of efforts to collaborate with different faith groups in order to foster interreligious tolerance and initiatives especially in the wake of the heat of neo-religious insurgency that ravaged his state of Adamawa and the North-Eastern region of Nigeria, and with these experiences, he firmly believe that understanding the dynamics of interreligious dialogue and mediation is necessary in coping and dealing positively with religious extremism and trauma of violence. He is open to learning more new ways of building peace to enable him promote peaceful coexistence through dialogue and reconciliation.
