Rilwanu Mohammed Abdullahi is an indigene of Kaduna State and a grass root politician. As a polio survivor, he has been at the forefront advocating for and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities on several platforms and fora, while holding several key leadership positions including Executive Director, centre for Muslims with Disabilities (CMD) and Vice President Sitting volleyball Federation of Nigeria. He is presently a member of the Conflict Management and Mitigation Regional Council (CMMRC), Chairman, National Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (NAPWPD) and Director, Beyond the Border of Disability Initiative.
As a Sunni Muslim, Rilwan believes capacity in interreligious dialogue and mediation is necessary for all Nigerians and will help him, and indeed every good Nigerian to relate well with different religions and cultures as well as provide the platform for mutual respect amidst plurality of faiths and tribes. He is determined to utilize the knowledge gained from the fellowship program in building the capacity of the physically challenged, visually impaired, hearing impaired, persons affected by leprosy and people with other physical challenges as well as youths and traditional leaders through step down training and sensitization programs according to peculiar needs of specific groups. He loves to travel, speak for the Voiceless and listening to his Radio.
